Today using internet as a platform, food industry professionals reach customers directly posting their blogs on various social media networks about product updates. blogging helps in advertising and promoting, conducting surveys and various other aspects which helps in evaluating product success rate, innovating and guiding the product throughout its market journey.

blogging being a determined success factor, following are five important guidelines to be followed by bloggers while writing a blog.

1. Titles: Title is a key factor, as in this world of internet people spend may be not more than 5-seconds to make a decision whether to click or not. In some cases, as in twitter Title is what you get. In order to get more click through’s word count of a post has to be limited (nearly 150) making post informative and interesting, blogger has to include keywords such as numbers, phrases like “How to”, lists etc.  

2. visuals:  Adding visuals and graphics to the post enables to share the post across the various trending platforms on the internet. Instagram, Pinterest, Flickr, Flipboard etc. are such platforms were visuals play a crucial role.

visual posts get significantly higher traffic rate than those with out visuals. with out a visual, click through rate of your post will be effectively limited in sense of social access.

3. #Hashtags: including a relevant hashtag with in the post or in the title improves the chances of viewing your posts. use of hash tags has proven its significance in last two years. 

relevance is important, slaping a dollar symbol in front cannot be a good hash tag all the time. you have to research and find a relevant hash tag that already have considerable following.

4. Keep updated: social media is dynamic. being dynamic, social media pops up everyday with a new opportunity to target the new group of audience. to make sure you are on the right track it is important to spend some time on postings to check whether they generate significant traffic.    

5. Pay attention: pay attention on reviewing your posts before you post them on social media. check whether they are upto the mark, are they in accordance with your customers needs? does the post links back to your website? does the post speaks to the groups of audience you are sharing with?
